After 3 years at Barrie North Collegiate Institute. The Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF/FEESO) recognized me for the excellence in education award.
Each year the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF), District 17 Simcoe, recognizes three students from each Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) secondary school with the OSSTF Excellence in Education award. The goal of this award is to recognize students who have truly made the most of their high school experience, ranging from the most visible and involved, to those unsung heroes who are indispensable yet rarely recognized.
Ontario Scholars are high school graduates in the Canadian province of Ontario who attain an average of 80% or greater in their six best Grade 12 courses. The award is granted by the Ontario Ministry of Education, and consists of a certificate from the Minister of Education that is usually presented to students at their graduation ceremony. The award and its certificate are standardized by the Ministry of Education; however, some schools choose internally to have special recognition of Ontario Scholars above and beyond this. The award is distinct from other academic acknowledgements such as an Honour Roll.
This award is present to a student who contributed to the school community. I help other students in understanding school work, I guide international students to adapt to the school community.
I achieved this award in 2020 by having the highest score in calculus at Barrie NorthCollegiate Institute. I achieved a 99% in AP Calculus.
